Maybe it’s the sunrise I saw today…And these guys most definitely love the Sun.
Even after all this time
the sun never says to the earth,
“you owe me.”
Look what happens
with a love like that.
It lights the whole sky.
It Felt Love
How did the rose
Ever open its heart
And give to this world
All its beauty?
It felt the encouragement of light
Against its being,
Otherwise, we all remain
The Day Sky
Let us be like
Two falling stars in the day sky.
Let no one know of our sublime beauty
As we hold hands with God
Into a sacred existence that defies –
Every description of ecstasy
The moon came to me last night
With a sweet question.
“The sun has been my faithful lover
For millions of years.
Whenever I offer my body to him
Brilliant light pours from his heart.
Thousands then notice my happiness
And delight in pointing
Toward my beauty.
Is it true that our destiny
Is to turn into Light
And I replied,
Now that your love is maturing,
We need to sit together
Close like this more often
So I might instruct you
How to become
From the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam
Give me a flagon of red wine, a book of verses,
a loaf of bread, and a little idleness.
If with such store I might
sit by thy dear side in some lonely place,
I should deem myself
happier than a king in his kingdom.
Strange, is it not? that of the myriads who Before us pass’d the door of Darkness through, Not one returns to tell us of the Road, Which to discover we must travel too.
Ah, Love! could you and I with Him conspire To grasp this sorry Scheme of Things entire, Would not we shatter it to bits — and then Re-mould it nearer to the Heart’s Desire!
